![]() We arrived around 6:30 pm but we have passed by at various times during our multiple stays and I can't say I've ever seen a time where they we're not slammed or there wasn't a wait to be seated. It took us around 30 to 40 minutes to get a table. This place was extremely loud and blostious. Having said all of that, my date was smoking hot, we had great conversation and an enjoyable night. Didn’t knock our socks off, but wasn’t disturbing. In the end, the experience was a straight up, meh. It was overcooked, dry, and tasted like a frozen burger out of a box from Walmart. Nothing jumped off the menu and spoke to me, so I figured I’d be safe with a swanky St. Ultimately, we came for the food, and we should have stuck with either a “crab” or “fin” choice, I guess. Pros: server was friendly, food came out pretty quickly, enjoyed the outdoor seating, holiday lights were nice, piano guy was a nice touch.Ĭons: for the location, ambiance and prices, getting a paper menu that was all stained with fold marks wasn’t a great first impression. We skipped the frozen daiquiri bar food and pizza places on the circle in search of something a little nicer and sadly, we were marginally let down. īased on all the solid reviews it’s clear we caught them on a bad night or time. Thanks for the refreshing experience looking forward to dining here again. Bella the waitress, thank you ! Marina Jacks you will always be five stars in my guide book. I Have been here before a few times and every time it just gets better than the last. If you go to Sarasota this is a must stop for setting the bar on culinary delights. clean fast service high quality deliciously prepared by what are clearly experts in culinary art. And the crab cake … well big chunks of lump Blue Claw Crab meat that I haven’t seen the likes of anywhere but in Maryland. Also the New England clam which was just off the charts maybe the best I’ve ever tasted ever !! the executive chef really knows what good food is. And the coconut shrimp appetizers to die for. The shrimp as well with a pasta were large fresh firm and tasty. The scallops in a coconut ginger sauce drizzled around a mound of jasmine rice with a garlic sautéed spinach and these are fresh dry sea scallops. If you ever go to Sarasota EAT AT JACKS ! You’ll thank me. Now we’ve eaten everywhere and let me just say this was BEYOND EXQUISITE ! The freshness the presentation the QUALITY. MARINA JACKS ! this has it all out door deck inside bar upstairs fine dining live music. I also absolutely love the decore and atmosphere in this place it really has amazing character. Definitely a must try if you are a seafood fan like us. They also have a extensive menu besides what we tried and we will be anxious to try different items on their menu on our next visit. Also a wide selection of ice cold draft beers □. They have a extensive collection of House made cocktail combinations. Overall I would say a extremely tasty dinner treat for a modest price considering our location. My wife sampled the Gulf Shrimp basket fried, both plates came with generous helping of house cut fresh French fries and the cold slaw was also delicious. Then I had the Grilled Grouper Fillet for my entrée and it was super delicious and a generous portion. I tried the Coconut Shrimp and the fried Claims for my appetizer and they were both delicious and perfectly cooked. If you go at a peak time on a weekend like last time that we passed it up because we were looking at an hour minimum to get a table so definitely recommend a off time or day for the visit because it really is that popular. So we were able to get a table in about 5 minutes. We arrived ahead of the dinner rush around 5 pm. Sydney was out Waitress and was super polite and had good knowledge of the menu and available beverages. She had our drinks and appetizers out to us really fast. Absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. ![]() The food here is really good, really good quality. So.is all the hype about Captain Curt's Crab & Oyster Bar being the best true? Is it a experience that you cannot pass up when vacationing in Siesta Key? After my wife and I finally visited here on our 3rd vacation I would have to say yes □.
